Who are we?


Greys of Ely coaches were founded in 1946 by Charles Grey purchasing the companies 1st coach in 1948. At that time the company was based in central Ely and by 1960 operated a fleet of 8 vehicles. In 1996 the company moved to a custom built site at Witchford approximately 4 miles from Ely, and now has a fleet of 30 vehicles.

Our facility has a three bay workshop which is solely used to service our extensive range of coaches and buses to the highest standard, using the latest technology. All vehicles are rigorously inspected by our technicians on a rolling six week cycle to maintain them to the highest standard.

All bookings and quotations for Coach Hire are handled and processed quickly and efficiently by our booking team using our computer based Coach Hire Manager System. This provides the client with accurate booking and agreement information so that each Coach Hire is carried out exactly as requested.

As a leading Coach Hire provider for East Anglia we are constantly striving to bring the customer the very best in products and services which the industry has to offer.

For this reason all of our coaches are cleaned and prepared to the highest standard and driven by qualified, uniformed drivers. All our drivers have annual CPC training and hold the now mandatory CPC qualification. This means that they hold a nationally recognised qualification for their skills.
